0 178

Logic has shared a freestyle video announcing the release of a new album, Young Sinatra 4. It’s due out September 28. Check out the video below. Earlier this month, Logic shared the new song “The Return” and the political video for his single “One Day.” He also performed the latter song at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards. For the performance, he wore a shirt that read “Fuck the Wall” and was joined by immigrant families whose shirts read “We Are All Human Beings.”

Logic’s latest release—the Bobby Tarantino II mixtape—arrived back in March. It followed his 2017 album Everybody.

[bs-quote quote=”They say they want the old Logic
The one that flow like a faucet
I’m still the same me
They just don’t believe it like they agnostic
If I spit over the boom bap they perceive it as nostalgic
But the truth is my subject matter is still the same
Production selection is still flame
But they love you on the come up cause you ain’t ‘tain it by fame” style=”style-16″ align=”left”][/bs-quote]

Early in his career, Logic dropped three Young Sinatra mixtapes, all of which featured singer Frank Sinatra on the cover and helped establish the MC as a rap traditionalist. They were filled with vocal and piano samples from the 1950s and ‘60s as well as classic boom bap beats. After going for a more modern sound on his April 2018 mixtape Bobby Tarantino II, it sounds like Logic is ready to get back to his old-school rap roots.

Back in April, Logic told Power 106’s L.A. Leakers that he has “several albums that are finished,” which he plans to release when the time is right. It seems the first of them is almost upon us.
