The Los Angeles Lakers honored the late Kobe Bryant with a tribute before the first game following his death … with emotional performances by Usher and cellist Ben Hong, Wiz Khalifa & Charlie Puth also performed a Live Rendition “See You Again” … and a powerful speech by LeBron James.
Lebron, who instictively becomes the torch bearer for the Lakers Team took center court to address the fans from the heart, calling Kobe his brother and the event a celebration of his career.
“I got something written down, they asked me to kinda stay on course, or whatever the case may be,” LeBron said. “But Laker Nation, I would be selling y’all short if I read off this sh*t, so I’ma go straight from the heart.”
“See You Again” really was a perfect song for the “Remembering Kobe Bryant” tribute at the Staple Center, Los Angeles the Lakers prepares to take on rival in their first match since the basketball icon, passed in that fatal helicopter crash last Sunday.
The tone of event was first set on path by R&B icons, Boyz II Men with their special rendition of the American National Anthem.
