J. Cole Calls on Rappers in Need of Help After Mac Miller’s Death: ‘Please Reach Out to Me’

After learning about the sudden deathof his fellow rapper Mac MillerJ. Colesent out a message to anyone going through personal struggles.

@JColeNC “This is a message for anybody in this game that’s going through something. If you don’t feel right, if you feel you have a substance problem, if you need a ear to vent to. If you uncomfortable talking to people around you. Please reach out to me,” Cole tweeted Friday (Sept. 7).

Miller reportedly died from an apparent drug overdose. The Pittsburgh rapper, singer and producer was reportedly found dead in his San Fernando Valley home on Friday afternoon. He was 26.

In late August, the rapper (born Malcolm James McCormick) was formally charged with two counts of DUI after a May 2018 car crash. That accident came weeks after he and Ariana Grande announced their breakup after two years of dating. Miller spoke openly about his struggles with addiction over the years.

Following news of his unexpected passing, music stars like Chance the Rapper, The Weeknd, G-Eazy and many more shared their condolences and prayers for Miller’s family on social media.
